Had a great shoot today with Lansing based band Elliot Street Lunatic. Consisting of Lead Singer Jason Marr, Lead Guitarist Eric Robins, Bassist Josh DeBrabander, and Drummer Caleb Knight. They are a great group of guys making post rock influenced chill jams.

There is a popular saying in photography, “the best camera is the one you have with you”. These days, the camera I have most often with me is just the one on my phone. My camera roll on my phone serves as my visual journal. I find that having lots of examples of inspiration right on my phone helps to shape my work with a larger more “professional” camera. Instagram allows me to create beautiful square format captures of my everyday inspirations.

This is the first time I have created a blog solely for the intention of posting my photographs as full bodies of work. This site and blog will function as my portfolio and as a contact portal for clients or photographers looking for help. The blog will function as my visual journal and as a place to write about work or ideas or plans. I have built this site with the ability to later add a billing and invoice function to charge for services through a secure PayPal connection.
